The Mech Pilot

For the latest RPG campaign I'm joining, I'll be playing a mech pilot. The rules provide for a mechanic class of character, who can have their own robot minion that levels with them. All I've done is put the mechanic inside the robot. The inspiration (aside from the obvious inspiration of every snippet of anime I've ever seen where somehow everybody is flying giant robots) is a boss we fought in the last campaign who almost accomplished a total party kill because we were not just fighting him, but also his living armor and his sentient sword. I don't think a mech pilot will be quite that much of a game breaker, but hopefully it will be hard to kill.
